About
What we believe
THE SCRIPTURES
We teach that all 66 books of The Bible are inspired by God. Through the providence of God, His word has been protected and preserved, and is the only infallible and authoritative rule of faith and practice (2 Timothy 3:16-17; 2 Peter 1:20-21).
GOD
SALVATION
We teach that the salvation of mankind is a free gift of God’s grace, based upon Christ’s atoning death. God not only desires that all be saved, but He also knows who will be saved. As being faithful to God, we must walk in His ways and be faithful unto the end, that we way may enter into His kingdom. (Ephesians 1:4, 2:10; Romans 8:28-30; 2 Peter 3:9; John 3:16).
EVANGELISM
We teach that it is not only the responsibility but the privilege of each and every Christian to proclaim the good news of Jesus Christ and to seek to make growing disciples (Matthew 28:18-20; Acts 1:8).
BAPTISM
We believe in water baptism by immersion in the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ for the remission of sins. Through baptism we identify with the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ (Acts 2:38; Acts 22:16; Romans 6:3-6; Colossians 2:11-13).
THE HOLY SPIRIT
We teach that the Holy Spirit indwells and empowers every believer to live a holy life. Through His gift of the Holy Spirit, God graces every believer with spiritual gifts, which are abilities graciously bestowed upon to enable him to work within and through the church, the Body of Christ. Gifts and healings are also for today (John 14:16-19, 16:7-15; 1 Corinthians 6:19-20; 1 Corinthians 7:8-10; Romans 8:9-11; Ephesians 4:11-16).
NEWNESS OF LIFE
We teach that by The Holy Spirit dwelling in us and working through each of our individual lives, we are a new creature in Him. Therefore, it is also our responsibility to walk a godly life, both inwardly and outwardly, and loving God and loving our neighbour as we love ourselves (Luke 10:27; 2 Corinthians 7:1; Hebrews 12:14).
THE LORD’S SUPPER
We teach that The Lord’s Supper is an ordinance as commissioned to the disciples by the apostles. It is an ongoing symbol remembering our Lord’s death, burial, resurrection, and promised return and is to be partaken when meeting in Jesus’ name. We are to examine ourselves before we eat this bread and drink this cup of the Lord, lest we do so unworthily. (Matthew 28:18-20; Matthew 26:26-28; 1 Corinthians 11:23-32).
ETERNITY
We teach that man was created by God to exist forever. He will either exist eternally separated from God via sin, or in union with God through salvation. Eternal separation from God is hell. Eternal union with God is heaven (John 3:16; Romans 6:23; Daniel 12:2; Revelation 20:15).
